Welcome to the Swedish School!

Swedish School in the Triangle is offering supplementary Swedish studies in the Triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary) in North Carolina. To be eligible to attend, the student must have at least one Swedish speaking parent and some basic Swedish speaking skills. Swedish must be actively spoken at home. The class covers Swedish culture, language, social studies and history. Classes are taught exclusively in Swedish. There is a small fee per child to cover study material.

We meet at Resurrection Lutheran Church i Cary, on Mondays 6-7.40 pm. The church is located at the intersection Kildaire Farm Road and Lochmere Drive. Adress: 100 Lochmere Drive, Cary, NC 27518. Link: www.rlcary.org/.

The school year consists of at least 30 weekly sessions during the fall and spring semesters.

The classes are offered to students in 1-5th grade. For more information, feel free to contact the current Chairman: Camilla Cedergrund or Teacher Kristin Strandberg. From 6th grade and up there are on-line studies offered; for 6-9th grade by Sofia Distans; and for high school students by Värmdö Distans.
